2010	February	Bought 2nd hand	Roland Line Mixer M-160 Needed a smaller (in size) mixer for the keyboards and Modulars.
2010	January	Self built	Dual Slew / Ring Modulator Self built using the YuSynth schema for the dual slew and the MFOS schema for the AD633 Ring Modulator.
2010	January	Bought 2nd hand	Blacet MiniWave Been curious for the possibilities of this module for some time.
2009	September	Bought 2nd hand	Doepfer R2M Ribbon Controller Always wanted to try a ribbon controller with my Modulars.
2009	August	Birthday present	Pro Tools LE 8.0 Just bought a new PC because the one I used had some problems. And the new PC has sufficient resources to run Pro Tools LE 8.0 whereas the old one had not.
2009	June	Bought new	MFOS Dual VCA I needed some extra VCA's and this seemed a good one, also because each VCA can be linear or exponential.
2009	June	Sold	Kawai K5000R I sold it to finance a new PC because the current one gets exhausted.
2009	May	Bought 2nd hand and new	Resonant LoPass Gate I was intrigued by this module so I wanted to have it. The PCB and most electronic components are 2nd hand, all the hardware is new.
2009	April	Sold	Akai AX80 I sold it to finance the Waldorf Q Keyboard. I think I am going to miss this fine keyboard in a while.
2009	March	Bought 2nd hand	Waldorf Q Keyboard Looked for a replacement for my AKAI AX80. The replacement should have many knobs for real time control and a diverse sound palette like e.g. the Kawai K5000R. I think this keyboard has that.
2009	March	Bought 2nd hand	Universal Audio UAD-1 PCI adapter Looked at the new UAD-2 before but was not sure if this was something useful for me. Now that I have this UAD-1 adapter I'm running into limitations because I use Pro Tools LE. So I have to figure out if I am keeping it.
2008	November	Bought new	Full kit for the Ian Fritz All-In Envelope Generator An extra envelope generator with some functions not found on other envelope generators.
2008	October	Bought new	Full kit for the Ian Fritz 5Pulser Waveshaper A mysterious device to generate alternate waveforms.
2008	September	Bought 2nd hand	CGS Steiner Voltage Controlled HP, LP & BP Filter (CGS35) A filter with lots of character.
2008	September	Bought 2nd hand	Oakley Equinoxe (Voltage Controlled Phaser Module) A phase shifter to be used with the Modulars.
2008	August	Birthday present	Synthesizers.com Q150 Transistor Ladder Filter A copy of the famous Moog filter which I had to have.
2008	July	Bought new	Synthesizers.com Q124 Multiples and Q131 Single-Width Blank Panel The Multiples is because I am running out of them making more complex patches and the Blank Panel is to fill the cabinet. The Blank Panel will be replaced with a 'real' Synthesizers.com module in the future.
2008	March	Bought new	Synthesizers.com modules: 2 x Q106 - Oscillator with the Q106CRS option 1 x Q108 - Amplifier 2 x Q109 - Envelope Generator 1 x Q112 - 4 Channel Mixer Together with the Q107 these modules make up a very basic Modular synthesizer. But together with the self built Modular and the Doepfer MAQ16/3 it makes great fun.
2008	February	Bought new	Synthesizers.com Q107 Variable State Filter This is the first module to take my self built Modular to the next level.
2007	September	Bought new	Behringer VP1 Vintage Phaser I wanted a phaser for the Modular for grungy sound. It sounds really good and it does not cost much.

2007	September	Bought 2nd hand	ZOOM RhythmTrak RT-323 I wanted a drum machine to just play along with for some time and this seemed a good choice.
2007	August	Birthday present	Akai Head Rush E2 I was looking for an effect unit to provide tape echo possibilities like the Roland Space Echo and the WEM Copy Cat at an affordable price. This one also has delay and looping with is fun to play with.
2007	August	Sold	Akai AX73 I sold it because I have the AX80 now.
2007	June	Bought 2nd hand	Akai AX80 I expected it to have more or less the same sound as the AX73 but it does not sound that warm. But still a fine synthesizer with 2 VCOs per voice. A pity all the parameter programming has to be done with just one knob.
2007	June	Bought 2nd hand	Korg 900PS Bought it because it is analog and because of the looks; I like the colors. But soundwise it has more possibilities than I expected.
2007	April	Bought 2nd Hand	DigiDesign Mbox 2 including Pro Tools LE 7 I was looking for new sequencer software. I own Cubase VST score 5.1 which is really good with MIDI. With a new computer I wanted to record audio and Cubase is too much hassle for me. Tried Tracktion 2 which I really liked. I was waiting for Tracktion 3 to come out and then this offer passed my way. Now I also like Pro Tools LE.
2007	February	Bought new	Kenton Pro Solo MKII A MIDI to CV/Gate converter which I need to control my Modular. And it does that really well. No hearable stepping in pitch bend or modulation and it has a LFO and portamento on board.
2006	August	Birthday present	Behringer B-Control Nano A cheap MIDI controller which I use now to control the LFO and portamento on the Kenton Pro Solo MKII for the Modular. I wish the size was also 'Nano' because I think it is way to big.
2006	August	Birthday present	KRK Rokit RP-5 I always was mixing on my headphones and I wanted some powered speakers. I compared some speakers in this price range and these were the best for me.
2006	April	Bought new	Creamware MiniMax ASB The poor man's MiniMoog. I really want to own and discover a MiniMoog or a Voyager once in my life but right now I can not afford it. The MiniMax gives me some of the feeling of how it must be.
2005	November	Bought 2nd hand	Roland A-880 MIDI Patcher/Mixer Great as an electronic MIDI patch panel. No need to plug and unplug anymore.
2005	August	Bought 2nd hand	Doepfer MAQ16/3 I really like some of the old and contemporary electronic music like Synergy and Redshift. Tried some software step sequencers but I didn't liked it. Bought this one. I like it but I am missing some real time control like skip step and last steps buttons.
2005	August	Birthday present	TC Electronics M300 I was looking for an effect unit to expand possibilities alongside the Lexicon MPX-100. This one has a phaser, thats why I wanted it.
2005	April	Bought 2nd hand	Akai AX73 I don't like the keyboard and I don't like to program all parameters with one slide. But I do like the sound. Would like to trade it one day for a VX90 module.
2005	February	Sold	Kenton Control Freak Studio Edition I did not use it anymore so I decided to sell it.
2005	January	Bought 2nd hand	E-MU ESI-2000 I wanted to use this to get some realist drumming sounds. But I found out there is more to it than just sounds.
2003	August	Birthday present	AKG K240 Studio headphones I had a Sennheiser HD565 Ovation which was going faulty on the wires. The AKG still is a very good headphone for me.
2003	July	Got 2nd hand	Clavia Nord Lead 1 extended Still one of my favorites. Only knobs, no menus and the best pitch bender ever used.

2003	May	Sold	VOCE DMI-64 Mark II Because I got the XP-80 which organ sounds, this module got redundant.
2003	March	Sold	Roland JV-1000 Sold it because I got the XP-80.
2003	March	Bought 2nd hand	Roland XP-80 with 60/70 and vintage synth expansion board Another step up in the JV/XP line. More and better sounds, more possibilities.
2003	February	Bought 2nd hand	VOCE DMI-64 Mark II I wanted some module with real Hammond organ sounds. This module has just that and it is affordable.
2002	August	Birthday present	MIDIMAN MIDISPORT 4x4 USB Because I needed more MIDI connections.
2002	June	Sold	Roland JV-80 After I bought the JV-1000 this one got redundant.
2002	June	Bought 2nd hand	Roland JV-1000 A step up in the JV line. Bought it mainly because of the bigger keyboard. Possibilities and sounds more or less the same as the JV-80. Has a sequencer but I did not used it.
2002	April	Bought 2nd hand	Korg Wavestation EX This was a mysterious machine for me and I wanted to explore it.
2002	April	Bought 2nd hand	Spirit Folio SX mixer All the connections on the Behringer mixer got full so I needed more connections.
2002	February	Bought 2nd hand	Kenton Control Freak Studio Edition Bought it to be able to have some real time control over the K5000R.
2001	August	Birthday present	M-Audio Delta-44 soundcard Still use this soundcard which does the job for me.
2001	May	Bought 2nd hand	Kawai K5000R A much underrated beast this is. I really like its sounds but it is hard to program.
2000*	May*	Bought new	Lexicon MPX-100 My first outboard effect unit. First tried a Behringer Virtualizer but the Lexicon was much better.
2000*	*	Sold	ELKA Rhapsody 610 Was in its case on our attic for almost 20 years. Had moded it with a switch above the 4 buttons on the left to switch the string modulation on and off. In the off position the strings sounded like a harmonium. Sold it for a hundred guilders with case and legs. Now I wish I had not sold it.
1999*	*	Sold	Fatar CMS-161 MIDI Controller Keyboard After having bought the JV-80 this one became redundant.
1999*	May*	Bought 2nd hand	Roland JV-80 My first workstation. I really liked it. Also like the keyboard action.
1998*	*	Bought new	Behringer MX 802A mixer Needed it to be able to mix the computer audio card and the SC-880. Still use this mixer.
1998*	May*	Bought new	Roland SC-880 My first hardware unit in almost 20 years. Got it because of a special arrangement provided by the company I work for. It was fun to discover this one but nowadays I rarely use it anymore.
1997*	*	Bought new	Fatar CMS-161 MIDI Controller Keyboard I bought an AWE-64 sound card with 8MB soundfont memory. I needed a keyboard to make music and this was it. Very handy because the computer keyboard and mouse can be put in the area on top of the keyboard and you can see the computer screen while playing.
1990*	*	Sold	Fender Rhodes 73 Mark I I needed money to buy a computer. Also sold a Fender Twin Reverb around that time. Needles to say I have regrets about that. But today I earn my money with computers so it has not been in vain.
1982*	*	Returned it to my parents home	Eminent organ I did not use it anymore.
1981	April	Left at parents house	Philips Philicorda AG 7500 I did not use it anymore.
1981*	*	Sold	ELKA Rhapsody 490 The ELKA Rhapsody 610 was repaired again so this piece became redundant.
1980*	*	Bought 2nd hand	ELKA Rhapsody 490 The ELKA Rhapsody 610 got broke and I needed a replacements for some gigs. Together with a Korg Lambda, which I borrowed, this did the trick.
1980*	*	Bought new	Fender Rhodes 73 Mark I I wanted to develop my piano playing. This one had some water damage on the legs so I got some discount at Saris in Dordrecht.
1978*	*	Bought 2nd hand	ELKA Rhapsody 610 I wanted a string machine and back then the choice was a Solina or this one. The Solina was too expensive for me so I bought this one at Peverelli in Dordrecht. Bought it also because Vangelis was using it.
1978*	*	Present from parents	Eminent organ Because the Philicorda was in the bands rehearsal room, I needed an organ at home. This one had 2 manuals, a bass pedal, springreverb and a real mechanical leslie inside.
1977	November	Bought new	Kawai Synthesizer-100F My first synthesizer. All about synthesizers I learned on this one. The price was 1199 guilders and I bought it on a loan with the help the Tidal Wave band members. Bought it at Spiering in Dordrecht. Great synth but I wish it had an extra VCO. Round 1981 expanded it with the help of Wieb Klaver with 2 VCOs, VCF, VCA, LFOs, ADSR and Noise. The controls for these modules were on a plate were the keyboard is. The keyboard was in a separate case.
1976*	*	Present from parents	Philips Philicorda AG 7500 My first keyboard. I already was playing the guitar but wanted to expand my horizons. I wanted to be able to play the same instruments like Mike Oldfield did.... Some time later used it in the band Tidal Wave for rehearsals.
